About Teeg
Mark
Teague BSc (more commonly known
as just 'Teeg') is a
graduate of
the
University
of Exeter in the UK,
where
he
read Cognitive Science for three enjoyable and productive years.
After finishing university he chose the stimulating path of becoming a freelance illustrator, and found inspiration in the varied and attractive styles of Japanese cartooning.
This interest in Japanese art quickly led to an interest in the Japanese language, which he has now been studying for around two and a half years, and this in turn tied back to a general interest in linguistics and language that was discovered whilst at university.
While continuing to pursue his illustrating career, he has since continued to diversify into other areas of publishing: namely proofreading, with an eager eye to move towards copy-editing.
Naturally he has a special interest in working on translations from Japanese to English (so called 'native check'), and has found collaborating with native Japanese translators to be a most rewarding and beneficial experience.
Also with a continuing keen interest in all aspects of science, he considers human sciences a specialism, as well as linguistics, philosophy, and technology, along with general literature.
